I just discovered the comic genius of Denis Leary. My boyfriend Charlie recommended "The Asshole Song", and I just started downloading anything of his that I could find. What made me fall in love with him was his sketch about Nyquil, which is absolutely spot-on; I've done the stuff a couple times and everything he says is true. Observational comedy at its pinnacle.

I make too many mix CDs. Well, I say CDs, but often I don't even burn them, I just make playlists and listen to them every time I turn on the computer. I've only dated them since last November or so, but I have some I dimly remember making years ago. That said, I'm making another now. I just read Nick Hornby's "Songbook", which inspired me. Since I just had to write them down, here are the lyrics to a song I'm absolutely in love with:
